Japan, first shots

Mie Prefecture, Japan

This week has really flown by and it definitely feels like I haven’t even scratched the surface yet. I am here in Japan staying nearby the town of Matsusaka in Mie Prefecture, having flown into Osaka on Monday (27 hours of traveling). I hope to return to the city towards the end of the trip but for now I am quite happy in rural Japan between the Green tea crops and the Mountains. I have been very lucky to also catch the end of the cherry blossom that happens at the end of March which is simply stunning and I am yet to do it justice but constantly looking for a great image of the trees. I am staying in a traditional Japanese home where most activities are spent on the floor (I will post these images up soon), the people here are also very welcoming and extremely patient of  my total lack of Japanese. Later I think the plan is sushi and Karaoke, really looking forward to it…

Next week I hope for some more blue skies and should be heading for Toba on the weekend. Here are some of the first weeks images:
