Perth is expansive, a population of nearly two million (and rising) spread over two thousand square miles (and climbing) compared to, say, London, where over eight million people cram into six hundred square miles (or New York; eight million persons jammed into four hundred sq mi), and not a single beach to escape the crowds. Coming across a confined space in Perth is almost a novelty, this one outside a cinema.
